I have a bittersweet relationship with this album. Sometimes I find the songs a little underproduced and some tracks are really boring (the ones between Crazy and Pancake, both included) but on the other hand, the rest of the tracks show Tori at her best as a composer and singer (A sorta fairytale, ICSNY, Gold Dust ♥ ) and the concept of the album as a sonic novel is very appealing. I know some people are going to disagree, but I think the album would be way better without those middle songs: why didn't she put some of the gorgeous Scarlet's hidden treasures instead?

Her best album! There is no so much hysteria as "From The Choirgirl Hotel" has. "Scarlet`s Walk" was influesed by birth her daughter, and terror acts of 11.09.01. That is why , this album get a lots of sadness and happiness simultaneously....I love all these songs, especialy Your Cloud, Scarlet's Walk, Strange, Crazy, I Can't See New York, Don't Make Me Come To Vegas, Gold Dust, Virginia, A Sorta Fairytale, Another Girl's Paradise, Amber Waves..............

Lots of people rag on this album but it's actually amazing from start to finish, if you can listen to it on its own terms. "Taxi Ride" and "A Sorta Fairytale" are two of my favorites by Tori and "Pancake", "Gold Dust", "Virginia" and "I Can't See New York" are incredible, also....
