I feel like Tillians voice got even higher and more grating in DGD, but in this band he maintained a perfect pitch.

It's kinda a shame they turned into a post-rock band, they had such good lyrics. [1] This is the main thing I miss from the shift to instrumental, those lyrics were gorgeous and so well written.

I don't really care about whether they have vocals or not, I like Young and Courageous, but I found them a lot more interesting instrumentally in their previous albums - if they carried the energy and complexity that they had in Empire Theory or Dreamhouse over into another release, simply without vocals, I think I would like it much more. As it is, Y&C feels like well executed, yet somewhat run-of-the-mill post-rock.

The new album is great! And I do agree with Cap & PooP but honestly, isn't really a big deal. Just a new chapter in the book. I hope to hear more music from TOM in the future! Much love!

I agree with StrangePooP. Wish they had changed the name.

Tides of Man without vocals is just as good as Tides of Man with vocals, I'm impressed. Still, I think they should've changed their name, the new stuff is something completely different.

Oh wow, that was a big shift. Too bad they changed into the type of post-rock I dislike, I preferred then as a prog/indie band.
