The Magnetic Band es un cuarteto mallorquín en cuya música el retrofuturismo y la experimentación de espíritu pop de Stereolab encajan a la perfección con la calidez de The American Analog Set, se dejan acariciar por las melodías de Yo La Tengo y se miran en el espejo de la aparente sencillez de Young Marble Giants. Los Spacemen 3 más sosegados, pasados por el filtro de Flying Saucer Attack y cambiando sus sustancias preferidas con las de Tangerine Dream.
Su disco de debut es «How To Be A Hypnotist» (primerospasitos, 2006).
