    agreed. In 2003, there was such a HUGE hype about The Strokes and I didn't get why at all. A few years later I gave 'This is it' shot, and it's been growing on me ever since. A true classic album, it never gets old.

    i feel really fortunate for being able to listen to the british version and the american and being able to compare how some tracks on both albums sound different. the british is more rougher yet so much more grittily retro - super awesome. the american is more clean, and the tempo's pumped up. but does it matter? both albums are is this it. and is this it is amazing. here's to a fantastic track!

    The intro guitar did remind me of David Watts by The Jam. The comparison ends there, I agree with the VU thing, Lou Reed's one of JC's vocal influences fo' sho. :)
