The Sounds es un grupo sueco de New Wave formado en 1999, proveniente de Helsingborg y están liderizados por Maja Ivarsson; su estilo es una mezcla de dance punk disco rock. Está formado por Maja Ivarsson (voz), Félix Rodríguez (guitarra), Johan Bengtsson (bajo), Jesper Anderberg (sintetizadores) y Fredrik Nilsson (batería).
Su primer álbum «Living In America» es editado en 2002 fue grabado en Estocolmo y nominado a varios Grammy logrando conseguir la 4ª posición en la lista sueca de álbumes más vendidos.
Tras el éxito obtenido con su primer disco, sacan a la venta en el 2006 su segundo álbum, «Dying to Say This to You», fue grabado en California y producido por Jeff Saltzman, productor de The Killers.
