Springbok1955 In the 60's there was a South African group also called The Meteors. In 1962 they had a huge hit in South Africa called 'Meadowlands'.

mai_neim_iz_OZN this is a very good band, but its sad that they consider them the only psychobilly band, 'cause there are alot of bands out there, some good some bad, and this makes them kind-off arrogant.

Violetdusk Tiger Army are probably wannabe Meteors, being as T.A. didn't even exist as a band until 15 years later....I like both bands.

Morgodth Most American music translates, but three things will always sound "funny" in a British accent (to my ears): rap, country, and rockabilly/psychobilly. Dammit, it's "Voo-doo", not "Veau-deau", Fenech! Still...the music's fun stuff.

alannahsdad Where can I get a hold of "The Meteors Live", on CD? This is the album recorded at Rooftops, Glasgow, Scotland sometime around 1984/85. Used to have it on vinyl but it got nicked along the way.
