The Lonely Island es un trío de cómicos estadounidenses formado por Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, y Andy Samberg (aka The Dudes). El grupo se formó originalmente en Berkeley, California en el año 2001, pero actualmente residen en New York City. Ellos escriben, producen y colaboran en los “SNL Digital Shorts” del programa estadounidense Saturday Night Live (Samberg figura como miembro del cast, mientras que taccone y Schaffer son guionistas). Son conocidos mayoritariamente por “Lazy Sunday,” “Dick In A Box” con la colaboración de Justin Timberlake, “
Jizz in My Pants,” y “I’m On A Boat” con T-Pain. En agosto de 2007, “Hot Rod” salió a la venta, el cual fue co-escrito por The Lonely Island (con Pam Brady) y dirigido por Akiva. Incluía a Andy, Jorma y compañeros de SNL como Bill Hader y Chris Parnell. El 10 de febrero de 2009 su disco debut «Incredibad» salió a la venta, incluyendo gran parte de los SNL Digital Shorts así como nuevas canciones con la colaboración de distintos artistas como E-40, Julian Casablancas (cantante de The Strokes), Jack Black, y Norah Jones.
