Is officially in my top 10 of most wonderful, amazing & brilliant masterpiece-ish albums in the whole wide existence. Seriously.
I never really liked them, actually. I used to like Sam's Town, but I kinda had an opinion that they became too mediocre, with a monotonous sound. Thank you, Lord, for letting me grow up and develop ears. And just so it happened that I decided to check them out again (thanks to '
Goodnight, Travel Well' ) . And my mandible simply fell down. Really. I can't stop listening to it, I keep on appreciating every song, there is not a SECOND which I don't like.
They have it, you know. That special little thing, which makes them so wonderful. Ah. -

So, firstly let's have a brief story probably uninteresting to everyone but me, about my music listening habits this year! (Well, last year now, it being January 1 and all...)
I began the year listening to lots and lots and lots of music every day, because it was summer and what else is there to do? At the turn of the year, I was pretty obsessed with Editors, The Little Flames and, as I recall, British India (especially their album Guillotine, which I used as my alarm for at least a couple of months). Within a few weeks I also came across, and fell in love with, The Cinematics, White Lies and The Bravery.
Then in February a thunderstorm hit my house and I lost the ability to play music in my bedroom, severely limiting my ability to listen to music for 12 hours every day. It was pretty sad, and even when power was finally restored to the front half of my house (after like a month or two) I was solidly out of the habit of listening to 12 hours of music every day. …
