The Human Abstract es una banda de Metalcore con elementos del Metal Progresivo y Metal Neo-Clásico originaria de Los Angeles, California. Su nombre se debe al poema de igual titulo de William Blake.
Desde sus comienzos, The Human Abstract, quiso obtener un nuevo enfoque en su sonido con elementos del Metalcore combinándolo con Metal Progresivo y Metal Neo-Clásico. Además obtienen influencias de Metal Europeo y Estadounidense. Esta banda debuta con The Human Abstract su EP en (2005) y luego su primer Albúm, Nocturne con Hopeless Records en 22 de agosto, 2006. En 2008 lanzan Midheaven con Hopeless Records.
La banda fue formada por los guitarristas A.J. Minette (actualmente no está en el grupo) y Dean Herrera.

I say Midheaven had a lot more progression and diversity than Nocturne. I won't say that Nathan cannot be replaced, but their next album better sound more like Midheaven. Nocturne was a good album, but the vocals were so screamo-ish and it really wasn't such an awesome album and didn't sound that special compared to other metalcore bands. Except of course for the great bass line and some guitar riffs. But other than this I'd go for another Midheaven anyday. And please people... anyone who knows what it takes to be a good singer knows that Nathan couldn't and never would be classified as a terrible vocalist.

Honestly, nathan's departure will not hurt the band that much. AJ's return is going to be most triumphant. I'd rather have both AJ and nathan, but if i had to choose, I would take AJ over nathan any day. He is an amazing writer. It's not even funny how much better nocturne is than midheaven.
