The Herbaliser es un dúo londinense formado por Jake Wherry y Ollie Teeba. El suyo es un proyecto de hip-hop pero en el que el funk y jazz tienen un gran peso. Han pasado de unos primeros trabajos repletos de samples a un último álbum en el que la instrumentación real ha adquirido una gran importancia. Aunque sus álbumes suelen figurar en la sección de hip-hop de las tiendas de discos, la del dúo es una propuesta que gustará a los que disfruten con la fusión de hip-hop y funk/jazz, que agradará a los amantes del acid jazz y del trip-hop. De hecho, aunque en sus álbumes más recientes han contado con la colaboración de raperos, buena parte de los temas son instrumentales, sin rastro de rap. Son, sin duda, una de las propuestas más recomendables y excitantes de los últimos años así como uno de los grupos estrella del sello Ninja Tune, en el que han editado todos sus trabajos.
