El oriundo de Estocolmo, Axel Willner, fichado en 2007 por el poderoso sello alemán Kompakt, es el responsable de uno de los discos de ese año, y el proyecto entero «The Field». Su música, a camino entre el ambient y el minimal, se basa en juegos de loops y sampleados interminables, complejos, repetitivos, y con reminiscencia a viejos temas de los 70s y 90s. Sólo ostenta una referencia en el mercado hasta la fecha, «From here we go sublime», suficiente para haberse colado en casi todos los «tops» de 2007, incluyendo los de Pitchfork y la española Rockdelux.
