1 The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico
One would be hard pressed to name a rock album whose influence has been as broad and pervasive as The Velvet Underground and Nico. While it reportedly took over a decade for the album's sales to crack six figures, glam, punk, new wave, goth, noise, and nearly every other left-of-center rock movement owes an audible debt to this set. While The Velvet Underground had as distinctive a sound as any band, what's most surprising about this album is its diversity. Here, the Velvets dipped their toes into dreamy pop ("Sunday Morning"), tough garage rock ("Waiting For The Man"), stripped-down R&B ("There She Goes Again"), and understated love songs ("I'll Be Your Mirror") when they weren't busy creating sounds without pop precedent. …
16 Abr 2010, 3:54 de EnnishI've done plenty of journal entries based on my favorite artists, but I haven't done any on my top 20 listened albums. So here's the deal...
Go to your Charts, and find your Overall top 20 Last.fm albums. Now list your favorite and least favorite track from each album.
I'll also write a brief review about each album.
1. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
One of THE definitive glam rock albums and possibly classic rock in general. It's a concept album with a ton of sex appeal and attitude and tracks that are shuffle-friendly.
Favorite Track: Rock 'N Roll Suicide
Least Favorite Track: It Ain't Easy
2. Black Tie White Noise - David Bowie
A highly underrated album compared to the rest of Bowie's repertoire. If Bowie got his artistic streak back with 1. Outside, then he was taking baby steps towards a more electronic style with BTWN. Although it's a bit cheesy on a few tracks, the rest of the album has plenty of style and chic.

19 Feb 2009, 23:48 de LlorenzaThe Doors – The Doors
I discovered something: liking The Doors is not done, as it is considered to be a group for pseudo-intellectual music snobistic college students.
And rubbish too. A true music listener is not a true music listener if that's reason enough not to appreciate this music. Because maybe these musical snobs are sometimes right, and then this is the case for The Doors.
Another debut, it seems like 1967 was a year full of original and self confident music. But this debut from The Doors beats them all. The quality is high, very high and constant. Of course it makes it easier that half of the songs are American classics, but listening to this album is falling from one surprise into another. I always thought the hit singles of The Doors came from multiple albums, but apparently that isn't true: they almost all come from this one! And the lesser known songs are of an (almost) equal quality. Wow!
Well, it's no use describing the sound of The Doors, it's a sound well known. …
5 Oct 2008, 22:56 de CokefloydAntes de que te duermas dentro de la inconsciencia
Me encantaría tener otro beso
Otra intermitente oportunidad de éxtasis
Otro beso, otro beso.
Un millar de maneras para gastar tu tiempo;
Cuando nosotros regresemos, yo dejare caer un rayo.
Estas ahi?The Crystal Ship
