I'm a huge Dear Hunter and Receiving Ends fan. It's not uncool to say that you most enjoy the best song they've ever written. No need to be a music-snob. Bands just hate being tied to repeating tracks when they have other good material they want to disseminate. No one wants to be a one hit wonder. Act II is a great album with depth beyond Red Hands like Black Sandy Beaches, Where the Road Parts, etc. but their other albums are a little weak, unfortunately. Oh well. Here's a better quality, studio recorded version "Red Hands" youtube video...FAR better than the ones in the video section.

When I saw them a few years back, after every song, people yelled to play Red Hands. I enjoy other songs more, but I'd say it deserves its praise.

I didn't think much of this song at first, but it's truly grown on me and become one of my favourite The Dear Hunter songs. What's wrong with a song being popular? It's a beautiful song, it deserves the popularity it's received among TDH listeners.

My #1 from the album is probably a tie between The Lake And The River, Where The Roads Part, and Black Sandy Beaches.

"the fact that its his most popular doesn't distract from the fact that it is actually a good song." [2] Easy to forget that a song gets popular for a reason: because it's good...

"actually probably one of his worst. sorry, but casey's capable of much much more." bitch be crazy. people only hate it because it's his most played. other than that, the song is flawless.
