The Dandy Warhols son un grupo de pop rock alternativo, formado en 1993 y procedente de Oregón, Estados Unidos. Estuvieron conformados originalmente por Courtney Taylor-Taylor (voz, guitarra), Zia McCabe (teclado), Peter Holmström (guitarra), y Eric Hedford (batería); hasta que Hedford se retiró del grupo en 1998 y fue reemplazado en la batería por el primo de Taylor-Taylor, Brennt De Boer. Su primer disco «Dandys rules, ok?» fue publicado en 1995, pero alcanzaron su mayor éxito hasta la fecha con el single «Bohemian Like You», conocido popularmente gracias un anuncio de telefonía movil. Han teloneado a The Rolling Stones y a David Bowie.
Cabe destacar también, que previo a su éxito en España gracias al anuncio de telefonía móvil con «Bohemian like you», ya habían conquistado el Reino Unido en 1998 con su álbum «… The Dandy Warhols Come Down» y exitazos como «Everyday should be a holiday», «Minnesotter», «Boys better» o sobre todo «Not if you were the last junkie on Earth».
En 2004, la canción «We Used To Be Friends», del disco Welcome to the Monkey House, sirvió de tema principal para la serie juvenil/policial Veronica Mars.
