El nombre de “The Cinematics” describe a la perfección el estilo de su música. Se podrían clasificar dentro de la categoría de cine de arte, su música es cuidadosa, estética, con buenas fotografías tomadas en nuestra mente al escuchar sus melodías, un buen guión en cada una de sus letras, y cada detalle cuidado con cautela. De pronto la historia de los 12 tracks nos traslada a escenas obscuras con Break de fondo, simulando una película de David Lynch, y de pronto nos logran transmitir sentimientos de películas melancólicas con canciones como Chase… , donde a la vez nos llena de alegría a la mitad de la canción, haciendo notoria su influencia de The Cure en el coro. Rise and fall nos recuerda el suspenso que sentimos al ver películas de este género, al escucharla por primera vez, nos sorprendemos de cada nota en la guitarra principal y la poderosa voz de Scott Rinning. Las canciones nos logran hacer bailar y movernos, pero también nos tiran al sillón para disfrutar de su emoción y calidez. Además de The Cure, sus influencias son The Smashing Pumpkins, Television, Talking Heads, The Smiths y Jeff Buckely, pero siempre conservando su mezclado estilo de música Este cuarteto es poco conocido dentro del mundo de la música, ya que solo se ha dedicado a tocar en clubes y bares, pero en Marzo de este año saldrá su disco titulado “Strange Education”, con 12 canciones, y videos de algunas de éstas en vivo, brindándonos el perfecto soundtrack de nuestras vidas.
