The Blood Brothers fue una banda de formada en Seattle, Washington en 1997.
Entre sus influencias son bandas de como Orchid y Refused y la música de bandas como Angel Hair y Drive Like Jehu.


Los miembros de la agrupación fueron: Jordan Blilie (vocalista), Johnny Whitney (vocalista), Morgan Henderson (bajo), Cody Votolato (guitarra) y Mark Gajadhar (batería).

Tras la separación de The Blood Brothers, Johnny Whitney y Mark Gajadhar formaron una nueva banda, Neon Blonde.

    and as for 'johnny's the reason they broke up', in the same vein, it would probably suck to be someone who's chose to have such a unique sound, and feel like you have to be "balanced out" by someone with a more conventional sound. So now there's blood brothers fans who are saying jaguar love sucks, just like so many people who couldn't get into blood brothers. So what if Johnny 'seems full of himself' he's a front man, he's got to be at least confident, and at least act confident when he's not. Anyone who's had any interaction with him knows he's the nicest, most positive guy ever. He thought he's have to leave the show opening for NIN in an armoured car. I think he's a great showman, and at risk of sounding corny, brave as hell.

    I have no idea how or why Johnny Whitney had decided to sing the way he dose. There's a comment down there about how people can't listen to him without Jordan. They were a great combination, but obviously it's going to be a big challenge for Johnny to front his own band, and an oportunity for him to expand his vocal abilities. Same with Jordan. Blood brothers is probably my favorite band ever but I can't imagine what it would be like to have to share vocal responsabilites for ten years, imagine two lead guitarists trying to both work together and do things new and innovative. Also, Johnny's vocals are challenging. It's good for music to be challenging.
