The Bled is a post-hardcore band from Tucson, Arizona. The band members united over their love of music and their desire to get out of Tucson. They formed in 2001, originally under the name «The Radiation Defiance Theory», but changed it because of its length.[1] They soon established a name for themselves in their home town, playing many shows and often to sold out audiences. Eventually they signed to Fiddler Records and released one album through them - Pass The Flask. The band toured extensively in support of this album. However, before recording started for their second album, original bass player, Mike Celi, left the band. He was replaced by Darren Simoes. The band is currently signed to Vagrant Records and through them, released their second album, Found In The Flood in 2005. They have toured alongside such bands as Slipknot, Alexisonfire, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Thrice, Midtown, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Senses Fail, and AFI. The Bled’s very first headlining tour was shared with Protest the Hero of Canada. They were on the 2007 projekt revolution tour, alongside Linkin Park, Mindless Self Indulgence, and Placebo.

In the end of March, The Bled went into the studio to record their 3rd full album. At the same time, The Power Bears, their street team, became operational, and the bled set up a webcam in the studio, which can be found here. Members of the band can come up to it and talk to people who are watching through the website’s chat service. On June 6th, 2007, Jeremy Ray Talley announced via the Bled’s MySpace the title of the new record is going to be Silent Treatment.

Still really like this band...I remember at House of Blues on Rodeo (LA) in 03-04 they opened at the Invisible Children's benefit with Thrice and Poison the Well. I doubt they'll wind up like the rest of the Rise Records line-up. Jeremy is still the principal songwriter within the band and there will be some sort of continuity in style. They've changed quite a bit since PTF, but I doubt they'll turn out like Drop Dead Gorgeous, Emarosa or Dance Gavin, Dance. I know for a fact James is quite adamant about the band not further contributing to the ailing state of the hardcore scene.
