"Great melodic death metal straight from the USA. I was only into classic stuff from Sweden, like At the Gates, In Flames, A Canorous Quintet, Dark Tranquility, Eucharist, Gates of Ishtar, Ceremonial Oath, etc. Looks like people are always confusing themselves, thinking that they are a "-core" band. I think it is because they sound modern, but surely they aren't." This is actually true. they have far more in common with At the Gates than shit like Suicide Silence.

it's more a question of "I want to listen to this band so they can't be deathcore anymore", the band said they're mdm but at the same time just look at their pictures, there's no escape. Anyway, the music is good fucking tr00s

As much as I love their later material, I still think Unhallowed may be their best album

So who's seen Fool 'Em All. It was enjoyable but it didn't touch on what actually happened at Warped, and especially in Europe much. I'm sure there was enough footage to add an extra 20-30 minutes onto the DVD that would have made it more worth it. The first DVD was more invasive I reckon.

thats a good thing... that means it wasn't ruined by loud mastering and anti-dynamics. you will be able to hear stuff much clearer and no brickwall overloud bullcrap that 90% of stuff has had since the mid 90s. yes brootalkid, A Cold Blooded Epitaph EP and What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse demo are both metalcore.

I bought their new live album off iTunes since it was priced well under $10, it's definitely a bargain, but it seems like it was mixed very low, I had to turn up volume significantly higher than usual just to hear it good.

"Nocturnal" is like their "Black Album" honestly, it's probably their most accessible record and it gained them a even wider fanbase. "Deflorate" was a slight dip in quality, but everything that came after it has been incredibly good, the band is better than ever.

Nocturnal is so overrated... I honestly think I prefer everything else they've done.

I love their music. Make some more, please! Each album has gems. Goat of Departure, Funeral Thirst, I'm Charming, I Will Return, Necropolis, The Window, and many many more. Screw the haters. Dahlia has clearly and succinctly proven that they don't play metalcore. Even if they did, it would be damn good metalcore. Regardless of what it is, I love it. Thank you, Black Dahlia, for making my days. "The feared sign of the horns shows on [my] hands!" \\m/
