For something released in an audio format, this song is so visual. I don't think it's possible to listen to this song without imagining the pastor in an empty church, the face in the jar, Father McKenzie digging Elanor Rigby's grave, or anything else in the song. This song doesn't even need any kind of video or animation because it is its own visual interpretation. It's a fucking masterpiece and a testament to how great The Beatles are at writing songs. A total 180 of what they were known for and used to writing songs about, and it's perfect. I don't care how much of an over dramatic music snob I sound like when I say there was no song better written before or after this song, and I can't imagine there ever will be.
