Entrañables clásicos del pop neozelandés, The Bats llevan más de dos décadas abrillantando el pop y mimando a sus seguidores con una exquisita mezcla de melodías clásicas, rock americano y jangle-pop. Formados en Christchurch en 1982 por Robert Scott, Kaye Woodward, Paul Kean y Malcom Grant, The Bats se sirvieron de la experiencia de Scott en los seminales The Clean para dar forma a una espléndida discografía en la que destacan trabajos como su imponente debut, “Daddy’s Highway”, o los adictivos “Fear Of God” o “The Law Of Things”… , discos con una discreta acogida comercial que, sin embargo, avivaron el culto hacia una banda que, después de tomarse un respiro de una década, reapareció en 2005 con “At the National Grid”. “The Guilty Office” es su último trabajo
