wow, The Band finally passed Bloodhound Gang as my most listened artist.

Midwestern blues-rock duos seem to be in no short supply these days, but that isn't to say the set-up is worn out or cliche, as demonstrated the imitable Left Lane Cruiser.
Little bit bout the venue, theMorseland: never been there before m'self. Seems more accommodating of eatin' and drinkin' than it does legitimate live shows, but a legitimate live show is exactly what LLC delivered.
Heard a local band called the Blue Dragons were opening and although I would have liked to make it out to see them to get a taste of the local flavor, I was coming straight from a wedding in the west suburbs and the venue was on the waaay the fuck north side. When I walked in (after paying my ridiculously cheap $7 cover), LLC was already full on, tearing into it with Justify, a personal favorite. They proceeded to play pretty much every tune I could have hoped for, interspersed with amusing asides bout home cookin', dirty ass rivers and, yes…
