This particular version now that I am hearing is previously unreleased material (1970)and put out there on the Boxset.(1989)... Excellemce of guitar slide goodness!!!..Amazing, even back in '70,you could feel the Bros in the Studio gettin' 'er done from what was then called "The New South".

On "Live.." the Bros used Taj Mahal's version as their inspiration.. They toured together back in 1971.. Blind Willie McTell did the original back in 1962.

Wow, this is a live version but not THE live version. Maybe this is the one they recorded at Bonnie & Delmar's Truckstop in '72!

Hmm..I hate a braggart, esp. one that`s wrong!..The Allman Bros were there Feb,1970..In fact they were there a few times from 1970-72 according to Wikipedia..Also,a recently unearthed video of the Allman Bros dated 09/23/70,recorded live at the Fillmore East from a unaired PBS-TV Show surfaced.. http://youtu.be/22MRGWnPPIU ...But that`s not the one in question!...The seminal legendary tapings for "Live At The Fillmore East" were recorded March 12-13,1971 and the album went on sale in July.1971...There is no mention of The Allman Bros even being at the Fillmore East in 1972 because the Fillmore East CLOSED DOWN for good on June 27,1971!!!...It didn`t reopen until 12/07/1974 under a new name...So maybe you saw em live somewhere else, kiddo!!!
