Introduction
Well after the relative success of last year’s journal, I have decided to review the best of this year’s album discoveries in the same format. This journal is part 1 of 2 and will contain albums from 10-6; the next part will contain the remaining albums. And well, that’s it. It’s time to get stuck in!
10. Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny

It wouldn’t really be a top albums chart would it without some classic metal/rock album appearing. It falls down to Judas Priest, those British metal titans to stake a claim. However, this is no normal Priest album, it’s very 70’s rock, however that’s no bad thing. It’s the classic formula of rock, but with other elements thrown in to make it interesting. It’s very gothic and for some reason this album reminds me of some sort of old church or graveyard. This isn’t just a typical 70’s album rock though; this is a magnum opus of rock. …
