Spineshank es una joven banda formada tras la ruptura del grupo Basic Enigma, que sale adelante gracias al apoyo de grupos como Fear Factory. Strictly diesel es su primer disco y está muy influenciado por lo más destacado que puedas encontrar en Pantera y Korn: cambios vocales que pasan de lo agresivo a lo armonioso por parte de su cantante Johnny Santos y un contraste instrumental que aporta el resto de la banda logrando fusionar bien los sonidos electrónicos sin abusar de ellos. Sin caer en el error de plagiar, han sabido llevar sus propias riendas conjugando un disco interesante.
