Spearmint es una banda indie rock radicada en Londres fundada en 1995 y formada por Shirley Lee (voz, guitarra), Simon Calnan (voz, teclados), James Parsons (segunda guitarra), Ronan Larvor (batería) y Andy Lewis (bajo).
El sonido de esta banda puede ser descrito como clásico indie pop británico con fuertes influencias Northern Soul.
Una pequeña mención de este grupo en la película «(500) Days of Summer» les brindó el pequeño reconocimiento necesario para terminar de popularizar su música.

I downloaded A Different Lifetime in 2008 on a whim because I liked the name. I liked it, so I downloaded A Week Away later that day. I don't think I really listened to them that much afterwards, but I felt very excited 'getting' an indie band namedrop in a mainstream movie.
