Spank Rock inició sus presentaciones en Filadelfia, EEUU, donde su reputación creció rápidamente. Luego salieron de gira con Hollertronix (DJ Diplo & Low Budget) y M.I.A.; también fueron de gira con Beck en 2006. El grupo está conformado por Spank Rock (Naeem Juwan) con cualquiera de los productores Armani XXXchange (Alex Epton), Chris Rockswell (Chris Devlin), Ronnie Darko (Ronald Rubarth), y la MC Amanda Blank. Su album debut YoYoYoYoYo se lanzó en 2006 por el sello Big Dada. Su lanzamiento más reciente, el EP Bangers & Cash con la colaboración de Benny Blanco fue inspirado en los bajos profundos de 2 Live Crew. Spank Rock está preparando su segundo LP.
