Anathema
I've spent years trying to like Anathema, but I don't think it's ever gonna happen.

Angel Witch
To dislike this band may be considered blasphemy among the heavy metal devout, but try as I may I am simply left feeling unimpressed after every listen.

Apostle Of Solitude
Riding the wave of trendy stoner doom.

A Storm of Light
Irritating vocals spoils their otherwise enjoyable sound.

Autumnblaze
I find the singer's accent too distracting to be able to enjoy this band.

Bishop Of Hexen
Exceptional symphonic black metal, though I've matured to the point where the whole corpse paint & hail satan thing is a bit of a turn off.

Blackfield
I tried really hard to like this band since their eponymous track is quite catchy, but I just couldn't do it.

During the last five years not only my musical taste experienced a great development. I also developed a new passion (indeed an all-consuming one) - the passion of visiting concerts!

It all started with Roger Waters (ex-Pink Floyd, if some of you didn't know) playing The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety and more songs in Lucca, Italy. What a fascinating experience!
And since then I had the great luck to see bands live which most people have been waiting for for years (such as Sunn O))), Neurosis, Ulver...).

Over the years I wondered if I would still have the same incredible feelings in my stomach after all these concerts or if it would come to a mere usualness. Of course the answer is NO!
After more or less 50 concerts I can say that it's still worth spending every pence on it. Needless to say that there are shows which are outstanding and other ones that are not nearly comparable with those, but they're still great experiences and all leave unique memories behind.

Excellent festival and amazing line-up. 013 and MIDI are a great combo for organizing a festival like this.

The absolutely best show was performed by Swans! Michael Gira was in flames while on the stage. And all that crushing bass and hammering percussions. Sssshhhwwwwooooooshhhhh!!!!!!

Pentagram was great! For so long I've been graving for a chance to see them. 20 Buck Spin, When the Screams Come, Sign of the Wolf, All You Sins, Relentless, ... !!!!

I have to give big hand for Circle and Pharaoh Overlord! Unfortunately I saw them only on Friday and Saturday, but both of the sets were pure joy & happiness.

And while talking about joy & happiness, you have to mention VOIVOD on Friday!!!! Pure perfection with their 80's attack! And while talking about Blacky's bass sound... well, you're out of words. Daniel Mongrain did great on guitar.

What else? Winter was even better than I expected. Acid King did really good. …
