I reckon this album is definitley not as good as the previous two, Dante and A-Lex, which are, in my opinion, two of the best Sepultura albums of all time. (yes, counting the Cavalera albums too) This being said, it's still a solid album with a couple of really good tracks, and is easily the third best Derrick Green-era album for me, since the first three are so bland and uninspired. Again, this is My Own Opinion.

Great album. To me it's better than the last two Soulfly albums.

Some of the riffs remind me a bit of the Chaos AD days. Great album [2]

"The production is thin as hell on this one too, which makes matters even worse." The best thrash albums sound relatively thin...it makes the songs sound fast on their feet instead of the usual downtuned, clipped albums nowadays which makes the modern albums sound less thrashy. Compare Slayer's most recent albums with their earlier albums. The albums which make the guitars sound less prominent and put the drums and vocals in the forefront (also making the bass more audible over the guitars) sound old school and primitive in a good way.

Man, this is just...mediocre. I mean heck, I even dug "Against", "Nation", and "Roorback", and even a couple songs off "Dante XXI", but this just sounds boring, predictable, and uninspired. The title track "Kairos" is a nice little nod to the "Chaos A.D."-era, and is quite frankly the only memorable track on here, for me at least. The production is thin as hell on this one too, which makes matters even worse.

You can find elements of all their albums here. It's almost a fearsome pulsing homage to everything Sepultura did on 25ish years. Max Widows gonna cry some more, but this is true Sepultura back to bone.
