Scald fueron una banda de vida corta y trágica, pero que dejaron un legado escrito con sangre en el doom metal. Estos rusos llevaron el doom tradicional del estilo de Candlemass a fronteras épicas inalcanzables hasta nuestros días, con esas melodías solemnes, profundas y emocionantes que llegan a los huesos, transportándonos por caminos pagnos hacia las tierras nórdicas y eslavas pre-cristianas y llenándolo todo con una atmósfera potente. Banda esencial.
