» Tony Banks: The Wicked Lady
Thirty odd years before on some grass covered wasteland*… No, wait! Thirty years after its initial release, the “lost” Tony Banks album is finally available on CD. This film score is his first foray into writing for an orchestra, something which he would fully realize in 2002 with Seven. The first half of the album is the orchestrated score while Tony’s original demos make up the second half.
*This is the first line of “The Lie” from A Curious Feeling, Tony’s solo debut.
» Grace Kelly: Every Road I Walked
From 2006, the jazz prodigy’s third album. It was around this time that she was invited by Keith Lockhart to play one of her new pieces at a Boston Pops concert. She did the favor one better by - at the age of fourteen - arranging the piece for the entire orchestra so it could be played with the Pops.
