Rotersand está formado por Rascal, bajista del mítico grupo The Fair Sex, con quien lleva formando parte de la escena oscura más de 20 años; Gun, músico profesional, productor y parte en los directos de The Fair Sex durante algún tiempo; y Krischan, conocido productor de techno y electro. Esta combinación curiosa, de músicos consolidados y con iniciativa, ha conseguido que Rotersand suene diferente a la mayoría de grupos de la EBM o el electro-dark actual, además de crear un álbum consolidado y variado.

Rotersand aspira más a una combinación de techno y contundecia oscura, de letras melancólicas e íntimas con una voz profunda y llena de ira y desengaño. En todo, un album del que no sólo se pueden sacar dos o tres singles de éxito en las pistas de baile, sino que tiene una coherencia y un ritmo interno, y donde cada tema aporta ideas y ritmos distintos a la idea de Rotersand.

I saw them live a few years ago on their first US tour (supporting Covenant)... Really nice, great energy, and Rasc jumped down and danced with me during... ehh... "Sonic Agony"?? (something from Truth Is Fanatic, but I can't remember 100% heh)... he's such a cutie. :P ...looking forward to hearing new album...

Sin lugar a dudas, el álbum "Random is Resistance" es un álbum fregonsísimo e impresionante, si tan solo el sencillo "War on Error" es genial... era de esperarse... Rotersand son genios en el Synthpop.
