Acerca de este álbum
In Rainbows es el séptimo álbum de estudio del grupo musical británico de rock alternativo Radiohead. El álbum fue lanzado inicialmente el 10 de octubre de 2007 como una descarga de ficheros MP3 sin ninguna protección DRM y permitiendo pagar al usuario la cantidad que creyese conveniente. El lanzamiento en formato discbox con un segundo CD y material adicional, se realizó el 3 de diciembre del 2007.
El CD fue lanzado a la venta en tiendas el 31 de diciembre del 2007 en Europa y un día después, 1 de enero de 2008, en los Estados Unidos bajo el sello discográfico XL Recordings, con la que la banda había firmado un contrato el 1 de noviembre del 2007 y cuyo primer sencillo especificado fue «Jigsaw Falling Into Place,» lanzado el 14 de enero de 2008 en el Reino Unido. Este es el primer disco de la banda tras la conclusión de su contrato con la discográfica EMI, la cuál había publicado todos sus discos de estudio anteriores. Además de «Jigsaw Falling Into Place», de la producción también se desprendió el sencillo «Nude» que fue lanzado el 31 de marzo de 2008 y llegó a escalar hasta el puesto 37 en el Billboard Hot 100 de EE.UU.
La banda trabajó en el disco por dos años en In Rainbows, comenzando a principios de 2005, y fue grabado en Londres, Somerset, Wiltshire y Oxfordshire con la producción de Mark Stent y Nigel Godrich. Durante las grabaciones, el grupo realizó giras por Europa y Norteamérica por alrededor de tres meses a mediados de 2006.
