Actually I like the rest of the album fine. I know that all the songs on this same theme. But somehow the lyrics to the other songs are more subtle and open to interpretation. This one just kind of knocks you over the head with a really preachy topic. It's like an old man yelling in your face about all the crazy kids these days.

Not really, but lyrics written this way are meant to tell a story. Yeah it's not exactly poetic, but you don't need to relate to the POV character to find it interesting. You won't like the rest of the album either then...

Well, they don't need to be about me. But I do tend to prefer lyrics that I can relate to. Is that unusual?

I love the music on this track. But those lyrics! Holy shit. I'm neither a teenager who plays Xbox or roams the mall nor an adult who worries about teenagers playing too much Xbox or roaming the mall. I wish I could silence the lyrics.

@filas312 Go outside and meet your neighbors, if you don't like them - find better ones, that's a good start. If your inclined get involved in some community organization or group that sparks your interest. As far as "feeling happy" without pills, research the power of natural food & critical-thinking, these are keys you must discover for yourself (your own path) for it to truly be effective & lasting; many never even look & waste away pretending too many things are circumstantial, of outside uncontrollable influences & beyond the scope of personal power.
