Lee Rous y Andy Gardner son conocidos como los Plump DJs (los Djs «rechonchos»). Antes de conocerse Andy trabajaba como empaquetador y Lee como camarero. La música comenzó para ellos como un hobby y tras varias colaboraciones fueron contratados por el sello Finger Lickin. Sin embargo el primer single de los Plump DJs, «Chunky Plumps» data de mucho antes, en concreto de 1988, del que tan sólo existen 200 copias en todo el mundo. Desde que firmaron con el sello, los Plump DJs se han dedicado a grabar en el «Laboratoire Plump», su estudio en pleno Soho londinense. Los Plump DJs han sido residentes en el London Passenger Royale desde 1998 y hace poco han sido contratados como residentes mensuales en la famosa fiesta de breakbeat de Brixton (sur de Londres), Chew The Fat en el Bug Bar, también han actuado en clubs como Fabric (Londres), Blowpop (Bristol), Supercharged with Krafty Kuts (Brighton) y en países como Holanda, Italia, Belgica and Alemania.
En noviembre del 99 publicarían su segundo trabajo, «Electric Disco / Plumpy Chunks».
Ambos han colaborado en solitario en otros proyectos, así por ejemplo mientras Andy colaboraba con Matt Cantor de los Freestylers usando el nombre de Bowser and Cut & Paste, Lee grababa bajo el seudónimo de Dat Bratz junto a Billy de Zero B. y como Freshly Breaked con DJ Massire. El pasado año han publicado de nuevo juntos el album «A Plump Night Out» y han remezclado muchos temas, incluyendo un nuevo proyecto en el sello Lacerba.
