To be fair he doesn't sound uneducated about that most maligned of genres by metalheads. Don't agree though, it's just screaming at a level of emotional intensity. If that's generic we're all fucked and packaged off to die.
You hear this type of scream more in skramz than black metal. I swear that scream is almost exactly the same as in The Spirit of Versailles songs. No matter what emo and screamo haters out there think and say. Of course if most black metal fans knew what emo was, they'd go listen to Spirit of Versailles and recognize it as a similar genre that is very underground. But sadly some are often uneducated about other forms of underground music such as in punk rock. Anyway, it's clearly amazing. This is my type of Scream by far. And it goes with such both soft and hard instruments. Just what I look for in the genre "skramz". It's just absolutely piercing and haunting in it's contrast.
