my ex introduced me to pat metheny & lyle mays over 30 years ago. i even had the pleasure of seeing pat in a small venue in the late 70s, dartmouth college. wow! also saw pat & lyle at the greek in l.a. they excel outdoors, where your mind has room to expand under the night sky with every note. thanks sirblueskies for sharing your wonderful experience in mexico. pat & lyle are 2 gods at play!

So I showed up to see Pat Metheny Group play in Kansas City at the Uptown Theater during the tour for The Way Up. They came out and played for over an hour. It was incredible. Amazing music. Then Pat got on the mike and said, So that was our new album...now we'll play some older stuff. Then they played for another couple of hours.
