21 Jul 2009, 0:30 de Al_73This tour has been billed as their last ever tour, so there really was no excuse for me to miss these godfathers of industrial music, particularly as I'd never actually seen them live before. Also, I'd never seen either of the support bands live before either & after tonight, I still hadn't! What can I say? I got there too late - in fact I only got in there about 10 minutes before NIN took to the stage! Well, I did have to buy a wee drink & a souvenir T-shirt first of course! So, humble apologies to anyone who was waiting to read what I thought of the Mew & Jane's Addiction live experience, but all is not lost - Mew are touring in the autumn, so hopefully I can get round to seeing them then :) Oh & for anyone who's never been to the O2 Arena before - a few words of warning - the actual arena is just one tiny part of the enormous O2 complex & depending on where you have to get to in the arena, its a long, long walk! Also, if you are in the seated part of the arena…

10 Nov 2008, 6:11 de mrwhite5Sun 9 Nov – Nine Inch Nails, Deerhunter
I arrived at DCU Center around 6:30 PM, and we got in around 6:45. After settling down for about an hour, Deerhunter took the stage.
Seeing as how I had never heard these guys before, I knew nothing about their work, but was very open minded about them. However, their show was nothing more but a blur, with no cohesive stopping, just playing their instruments. After 45-50 minutes, Deerhunter concluded their show.
And then, the wait began.
The floor began to fill up, and from my view (Section 211 J), it was a sea of humanity. Thinking to myself, "When March of the Pigs hits, that floor is gonna move!", I sit and take in the atmosphere of the arena.
Around 9:00, "999,999" starts. The wait finally ends with the energetic drums of "1,000,000".
The crowd, myself included, goes wild.
Trent Reznor and crew rip thru a set of songs from The Slip, getting the crowd excited and building up the energy for an old classic.

Irresponsible Hate Anthem
7 Sep 2008, 0:27 de pitzi83Well, I used to be a pretty dogmatic person in thought - positivistical logic as it's known.
What does that loud mustard burp mean? It means you believe/think that everything In the world has it's place and that Every Day Is Exactly the Same in that it all comes down to a single fucking equation.
It's kinda like believing in god, except it's that equation.
Well, I think now that the world isn't really clean cut as I would have it/wish it.
It might just be Right Where It Belongs, a world all inside my head bent on pushing me and shoving me here and there. No boxes, no shelves. Maybe, If you look closely, you might make out where The Line Begins to Blur.
No more then that.
In actuality, look at this life. We're living Vicariously in our fast paced and allegedly "understood" world. Overthinking our existance inside Parabols of income, outcome, intrest rates of rice and oil or whatever car design China picks as it's declared method of production (eco-wise, that is)
