first song by new order that I fell in love with... I was 15 and the lyrics used to make so much sense back there! I was so afraid of being just like everyone else! Now I'm 23... I work about 10 hours a day, I have a car to wash and keys to keep... Well, guess I could not run away from the boredom... ("And then somehow I lost my away...") In the other hand I've been drink a lot... getting drunk about 3 times a week... thats the only moment I still feel real and true... So, yes, I guess this song makes even more sense now :)

I don't listen to New Order enough. I used too, but not anymore. Time to burn some more of my old CDs.

"For those of you that think this song is an anti-capitalism political message, try listening to more than just the chorus, as you're taking those four lines completely out of context. The song is about trying to live an extraordinary life, achieving that dream, and later waking up to the realization that you've somehow lost your way. In the chorus, he's stating he doesn't want to live a life he considers ordinary; he wants his life to have meaning and purpose." Cheers for that ROFLMAO:- as if anyone would want to be free or want a "New (Socio-Politico-Economic) Order"!

I got very confused for half a second, forgetting Billy Corgan was on this track, and wondered why I was hearing Smashing Pumpkins sounding like New Order.
