Necrophagist es una banda de Progressive Death Metal / Technical Death Metal procedente de Alemania

La banda orientada al Progressive Death Metal se inicia con Muhammed Suiçmez a la cabeza, siendo este mismo quien termina grabando el album del debut «Onset of Putrefaction»(1999) despues de que los integrantes de ese entonces abandonaran la banda dejando como legado solo un par de demos «Requiems Of Festered Gore» (1992) y «Necrophagist» (1995).

Despues de aquel traspie la banda logro recuperarse, grabó en 1999 «Onset Of Putrefaction» lanzando asi su primer album profesional, y de paso adquiriendo fama dentro del genero musical.Despues de varias giras por su pais natal Plantilla:Alemania,la banda graba un neuvo album en el 2004 sin embargo su estilo musical cambio un poco, paso de ser una banda progressiva a ser una banda tecnica, lo cual queda plasmado en su ultimo album «Epitah» (2004).

Actualmente se encuentran trabajando en su proximo album «TBA», el cual se espera se lanzado en Junio de este año.

who cares if they abuse a harmonic minor? or majors etc.. They do it well. It all sounds great. Necrophagist is just a guy playing up and down minor and major (occasionally diminished) scales on various keys with a few hooks thrown in there. Bands like Anata go beyond playing up and down scales, they play complex melodies and harmonies to convey emotion.
