Rahaha24 i saw Shara and her band opening for Sufjan in London back in 2004 and it was unreal... glad to hear shes coming back in september!

lokey73 I've now seen MBD twice. Once opening for Devotchka, and once opening for the Decemberists. Both times they were utterly fantabulous. Shara has a fantastically haunting voice, which is offset perfectly by her high energy on stage rocking the guitar.

alright... so i saw this chick alongside the decemberists, and it still completely blows my mind that there is any comparison.. there isn't.. everyone seemed to be disappointed with her performence and oh so amazed by the decemberists.. personally i felt like falling asleep through the decemberists, god i've never heard such wanna be intellectual crap in my life.

Xylemicarious It's a really good album. Very poetic, which in the wrong hands can be terrible, but she pulls it off well, especially when coupled with her crazy opera-esque voice and mega dramtic sweeping music behind her. And I'll be seeing her in April! Happy days.

minneapolles I must gush. I saw MBD in Minneapolis last night, and she rocked my face off. Oh my god, what a talent. I haven't been this excited about a new artist in I can't remember how long. Her voice is a channel for the soul of the world. She brings on the night madness, if you know what I mean. Great for fans of Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, Kate Bush, PJ Harvey.
