Misfits es una banda de punk rock pionera del subgénero horror punk formada en 1977 en Lodi (Nueva Jersey) por Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only y Manny Martínez. A lo largo del tiempo el grupo se ha caracterizado por componer canciones basadas en películas de terror y ciencia ficción. La banda, que tomó su nombre de la última película realizada por Marilyn Monroe, se disolvió en 1983 y se volvió a formar en 1995 ya sin Glenn Danzig como líder creativo.

Many people (including me) tag the original Misfits with Glenn Danzig "The Misfits", because some of the '77-'83 records have the old logo on it, which reads "The Misfits". They later dropped it and the "new" Misfits didn't use it on album-covers at all. Last.fm corrects most of the "false" tagging, though, that's why they're just listed as "Misfits" most of the time.

P.S. if your such an Samhain fan why do use the bullet single cover as your avatar ?

Thank You, my friend and fellow fiend, Alainvegman, well said. MY mother always told me that if you cant say something nice, don't say anything at all. I wish all the negative posters would think a bit more before posting who they hate, who sucks, or who should or shouldn't be in the band. Feel free to post just say something new, after all its not like Jerry and Glenn are going to see these comments and rush out and regroup. I have listened to the new stuff about 500 times each, (YES that is Jerry singing lead, try reading the lyrics posted on my home page here) no I don't love it, but its still the latest from a band that has been around for a long time, mostly listened to by kids who grow up and move on. I have been a fan since the 80's and will be for life. I do not let the misfist bring me down, even if they are not coming to my city this tour maybe I was too bad this year ( or too good as the case might be ) but that wont make me stop listening. share the 'fits, don't hate em
