Biografía

Minus The Bear es una banda de Seattle con seis lanzamientos en nómina. Su proyecto más reciente, Planet of Ice fue lanzado el 21 de Agosto de 2007, con 10 tracks, además de un CD extra, contenido en la primera edición de este album, con dos canciones exclusivas de estudio que son «Electric Rainbow» y «Patiently Waiting», además del Remix de «Knights» y el demo de «Ice Monster». El mismo año lanzaron un albúm de mixes llamado «Interpretaciones del Oso», lanzado el 20 de Febrero.

El anterior álbum de estudio titulado «Menos el Oso», fue publicado el 23 de agosto de 2005, bajo el sello Suicide Squeeze. Los singles «Hooray» y «Houston We Have Uh-Oh…» figuran en páginas de música como PureVolume. La banda incluye a ex-miembros de Botch, Killsadie y Sharks Keep Moving. Su sonido es una combinación de taps de guitarra y electrónica, con tiempos sofisticados parecidos a los de Don Caballero.

Minus The Bear es famosa por los sorprendentes títulos de sus temas, con ejemplos que incluyen «Hey, Wanna Throw Up?», «Get Me Naked 2: Electric Boogaloo», «Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!!» y «Lemurs, Man, Lemurs». A pesar de este ligero humorismo, la música de la banda es muy técnica; en el último álbum, Menos el Oso, los títulos de las canciones no tienen la misma carga humorística que en sus anteriores discos. El nombre de Minus The Bear procede de una broma privada entre los miembros de la banda.

    agreed with reactions. After seeing them live, something just makes you forget all that. I don't like "My Time" that much but still found myself singing along to it. 10 years of music and they give you a bit of everything in their live performances.

    after seeing them live last night I completely understand why they have progressed the way they did... they put on an amazing show and truly enchant the audience. I had the best time of my life and wouldn't change for the world the music they're putting out. Grow with the artist.

    I understand what you guys are saying, but I still love the shit outta OMNI. Animal Backwards and Hold Me Down are just so good. I can lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling listening to it for a whole day. Minus the Bear can't possibly step down. They're just trying something different.
