( or skip and scroll down to the list below )
SiR HendRix Rating System employs a 50–100 point quality scale for individual musical tracks. the common 5-star rating points — [* to *****] — are not sufficient for rating the complexity of music and results in very subjective measures and inflated ratings. there is not so much 5-star [*****] music around as is rated in this world.
this rating is very serious. it’s not about “best rock song ever. period” or “my personal top 10” or something similar.
SiR HendRix takes a hard, very critical listen at tracks in order to underestimate and not overestimate the musical quality. if possible, in a peer group setting, i.e. comparing the track to be assessed with other representatives of the genre or style or with different covers resp. the original version.
my own personal subjective 5-star rating goes into the whole rating with 10-20 percent only. …

"JOINING A FAN CLUB"
4 May 2008, 11:33 de AnyadoraOn a wonderful friday in march we went to Bonn by train to see Talkin’ Jazz. I had gotten the tickets for my birthday. What a nice institution: It's a series of evening events where Till Brönner meets a star to sing and play with. And to talk to. He plays the charming interviewer on his red sofas on stage – and the guest tells little stories out of his/her life.
Usually the audience sits around little bar tables but this time the ticket counting computer had »unfortunately« sold double the tickets ... But I liked this concert like seating anyway.
We chose a date that suited our plans and didn't care about what guest is to be expected – I must admit I came there for Till Brönner's music … I knew there was an Yvonne Catterfeld but not much more.
It became a very personal event. Sitting right in front of the stage it felt like being in a sitting room together, with nice musicians, a heavenly host and a shy young woman who had to defrost first before starting to feel comfortable on (this) stage. …

29 Abr 2007, 21:42 de marginalnutWhat a month, being burgled really messed up the music listening habits, of course the loss of some files on my laptop been a major blow, but things are looking up now, March is back on track.
Very strange playlist, but main influence problem from Robbers & Cowards and of course Carnavas.
The playlist over all starts nice'n upbeat/summery, slips into jazz and relaxed and ends with well music that i would generally not listen to a whole lot, very dancy... hmmm.
