Michael Giacchino (1967) es un joven y multipremiado compositor de bandas sonoras conocido principalmente por su participación en las producciones (tanto cinematográficas como televisivas) de J. J. Abrams y las películas de animación de Pixar dirigidas por Brad Bird, aunque también es el responsable de las partituras de algunos conocidos videojuegos de ambientación bélica. Nació en Riverside (Nueva Jersey, EE.UU) y su primer trabajo conocido fue la banda sonora del videojuego El Mundo Perdido, adaptación de la película del mismo nombre, que a su vez era la secuela de Parque Jurásico
