This is way better than Old Crow Medicine.

The original of the Pete Seeger classic. I came to this through an album "Junkers, Jivers and Coke Fiends". Those old blues guys were certainly into the chemicals. Anyway, the Memphis Jug Band were pretty good for the instrucments they were using.

I miss the 20s (or was it the 30s? filmaddiction played merry havoc with my mind and then network tv when i was but a child just screwed me) casual cocaine slip as it would be the same as the casual - both always very much intended - cannabis slipping into songs many decades later or the 'sugar' that pops up in so many songs from the xixth and xviiith century. Love it!

Isn't this "Take a Whiff on Me," as covered by Woody Guthrie?

Am backtracking on my Ry Cooder memory: I can remember the chorus "have a whiff on me" but I can't track a title along the lines of "Cocaine Habit". I could be remembering a chorus from something like "Tamp em up solid".

I seem to remember Ry Cooder doing a nice version of this in one of his early albums.
