Maserati es una banda de rock de Athens, Georgia, EE.UU. cuyo sonido se puede describir como post-rock con influencias de las matemáticas, influencias del rock progresivo y psicodélico. Su música es instrumental, contando con la instrumentación de rock estándar de guitarra, bajo y batería. Maserati introduce sonidos experimentales para producir una experiencia musical única y compleja.
Maserati comenzó en 2000 con Coley Dennis en la guitarra, Steve Scarborough en el bajo, Phil Horan (luego reemplazado por el fallecido Jerry Fuchs) en la batería y Matt Cherry en la guitarra. Están asociados con Temporary Residence Limited, con sede en Brooklyn, NY.

For those enjoying Inventions for the New Season, it's a tribute (and in places a verbatim copy) of Manuel Göttsching's Inventions for Electric Guitar, one of the most important and influential albums of its time. As someone who liked both artists independently, I was blown away when I found out Maserati'd created such a dedication. If you're not familiar with Gottsching, I urge you to check him out
