But even this suffered from the main problem of the night: Roughly half of the attendants showed hardly any interest whatsoever in the performances and distracted with a constant high volume of chatter.
The mood was already not quite right for Helen Fry
& Touchy Mob
who opened the night. I felt that besides the chatter, the mood also suffered from the partially seated audience: To not obstruct Pencil Quincy's projection, there were some rows of benches in front of the stage. I would like to listen to these guys again in a better setting.
But when Mary Ocher
came on as the last act, things really broke down: Only few people were apparently interested in her music, and the rest were standing five meters from the stage and competing with the music in the volume of their chatting. …
