I think this is definitely their best release. But everything they've done since has been pretty close to this. Although Buzzard took quite a while to get into and I still haven't completely warmed to the whole thing. But this album just makes me feel so many things and not just because I associate it with a devastating breakup. LOL!

according to Richard in an interview... "Most of it came from a little bar I went to when we went to record. Everyone was setting up and I walked down the street. There was this little old man that was really funny and he reminded me of a cat. He spent the whole bar experience boring people with his stories about Bob Dylan. And everyone was kind of blowing him off; a lot of people kind of rolled their eyes. I overheard him and I told him I loved Bob Dylan, [and we talked]. I thought to everyone else it sounded like meows, but I was very interested in what he was saying. "

I'm still convinced this record isn't that good, but it shows a lot of promise and has a lot of great songs. There are just some strange and inappropriate things thrown in that ruin it.
