In total agreement Bob. Cale has produced music running the gamut from avant-garde classical to beautiful songs (a la Paris 1919) and everything in between. Never stays still does Cale.

Always found Cale more interesting than Reed post-VU, this however is wonderful

*sigh* Every listen brings me closer to Andy...and all he represented. I've been listening since I saw the work in progress at St Annes church and bought it as soon as it came out in vinyl. Close to perfect, isn't it? <3 <3 <3

I would not call this VU, this is much better than VU ever was, you definately notice that both Reed and Cale developed so much since VU. Just sad that this was the only collaboration because it's as good as both best works but different from them in a very good unique way.

I can't understand why nobody commented on this. For me, this is the BEST VU almbum (even if without Sterling and Moe). Most original music in years. Class, sincerity, experience, raw sound... it has EVERYTHING!!
