Little Feat, banda norteamericana, formada a principios de los 70 en Los Angeles Ca, por el compositor, cantante y guitar-hero Lowell George y el teclista Bill Payne.
George provenía de los Mothers of Invention de F.Zappa pero su versatilidad y buen hacer le llevan a seguir camino por su cuenta.Sus primeros 2 albumes Little Feat y Sailing shoes contienen dos versiones distintas de su gran éxito Willin´que les llevó a la fama. Su tercer album es Dixie Chicken 1973, que contiene otro de sus grandes éxitos y da título al album.

Los generos que practican van desde el funk, hasta el country pasando por New Orleans sound y el blues. Son virtuosísimos instrumentistas y en sus directos improvisan magníficos solos-conversaciones entre guitarra y piano que se pueden oir en su live «Waiting for Columbus» grabado entre Londres y Washington Dc.
A causa de su mala vida y adicciones varias lowell George pasa a mejor vida hacia 1979, quedando para la posteridad sus magníficas composiciones y grabaciones.
La banda se reforma en el 88 con Craig Fuller en el papel de George, aunque sus composiciones son de menor calidad que las de los 70.
